Currently in the midst of traveling the media circuit to promote his debut studio project, Playboi Carti stopped by Hot 97′s Ebro In The Morning for one of his most in-depth interviews. Speaking to Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez for over 20 minutes, Carti opens up about his relationship with A$AP Rocky, the “mumble rap” frenzy, his self-titled album, what inspires him and more. “I respect the old heads a lot,” Carti tells Ebro In The Morning. “My dad was a big Tupac fan, my mom from Brooklyn she a big JAY Z, Nas [fan] … Got to respect that.” The “Magnolia” rapper also lists Gucci Mane, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Lil Wayne and A$AP Rocky as some of his most significant influences.
